Tree Pruning

Tree Pruning is a crucial part of our responsibility having healthy trees that will continue to grow.

Trees keep a home garden with useful degrees of shade.

We understand that trees must make way for electrical lines and electrical utility poles and when trees are planted there is clearance distance to be considered However, as the tree grows it can become a problem if it is near or touching a power line and this will require some attention. It is risky to cut branches that touch power lines, and so are best left to the experts to deal with. We can trim, prune or remove trees (when it becomes unsafe).

There is a correct way of trimming/pruning of trees to maintain a stable, healthy strong tree.

Trimming trees will prevent safety hazards such like low branches that are subject to storm damage near pavements, paths, driveways or when they are too close to buildings. We do carry out emergency storm repairs and trim or fell trees that are considered to be a danger to the public.

Crown Reductions

We reduce the crown by removing the small branches, or damaged, branches.
Our team of Arborists work to reduce the stress on the tree.  This is done with precision pruning/cuts.

Sometimes, the tree is just far Too High and requires a crown reduction.

Sometimes, we use a technique called retrenchment pruning, which will see us gradually reducing the crown over several visits. Some regrowth will occur between each visit and this more closely resembles a natural process.

While this is a process which requires skill and fine judgement, it results in a healthier more stable tree.

Crown Thinning

Thinning crowns to let in more light by removing some, usually up to 30 percent, of the branches and concentrating on dead or congested shoots is another strategy. It is very easy to spoil the appearance of the tree so this is best attempted in stages evaluating the effect before removing more.

Crown Lifting

Lifting the crown by removing lower branches will allow access

for mowing grass/lawns by creating space under the tree and enjoying the shades cast by the tree, especially in the summer months when avoiding the hot sun.

Crown Lifting will protect garden fences and walls.

Crown lifting can provide more sun light into your garden and allow the air to circulate around the tree.

Stump Removal

When we remove a tree it will includes bringing the tree down to a stump.

For the remainder of the job, we can chip or remove the rest of the tree. We do recycle tree, hedge and shrub waste so nothing is wasted.

We do carry out stump removal, is a extra service and will incur extra charges. This service requires an additional and specific tool.

Stump grinding involves the removal of stump to a specified depth, generally between 150m and 300m. Upon completion of stump removal, the remaining hole will be back-filled with soil or grinding waste to leave a level surface. We do carry out stump removal, is a extra service and will incur extra charges.
